A woman’s attempt to dine and dash at a LongHorn Steakhouse in Panama City Beach, Florida, turned into a chaotic scene after she realized she had left her purse behind.
The incident, which unfolded on Friday, quickly escalated into a heated altercation, culminating in the woman’s dramatic outburst at the restaurant staff.
The woman and her male companion initially tried to leave without settling their bill. However, the woman soon returned in a panic upon discovering she had forgotten her purse. The ensuing confrontation was recorded by another diner, identified as Missy, who was waiting to be seated with her family. The video of the incident has since gone viral, garnering over seven million views on TikTok.
According to a LongHorn Steakhouse manager who confirmed the incident to DailyMail.com, the confrontation took place at the Panama City Beach location. However, the manager declined to provide further details.
In the video, an employee is seen holding the woman’s purse as she repeatedly demands its return. “That’s my purse! Give me my sh**!” she yells, while her male companion attempts to calm her down.
The footage begins with the pair standing near the hostess stand at the front of the restaurant. The man, dressed in jeans and a hoodie, speaks inaudibly to the woman, who is wearing jean shorts and an oversized t-shirt. The employee, a man with a goatee in a button-down shirt, holds the purse and watches the scene unfold.
Missy, the diner recording the incident, is heard asking the employee if they could wait a moment before being seated, as laughter can be heard in the background. The couple briefly stops arguing, but the woman quickly tries to grab her purse from the employee.
Failing to retrieve her bag, the woman steps aside and lunges at the worker, but her friend intervenes, telling her to “chill out.” She continues to demand her purse, shouting, “He needs to hand me my purse.” Her friend reassures her, saying, “He gonna give it to you, chill out!”
As the employee begins to walk away with the purse, the woman starts to make a comment about her race, but her friend cuts her off. The employee turns back as the friend continues to tell the woman to calm down.
“Give me my purse!” she screams again, to which her friend responds, “He gonna give you that sh** – chill the f*** out,” clapping his hands in her face to emphasize his point.
